One Step I Take to Manage Work-Life Balance
As a Social Media Strategist, you might be surprised to hear that I constantly lose my phone. And not by accident either! I intentionally lose my phone, especially when I’m not working so that I can stay present in the moment.
It’s a simple trick that I’ve been doing for years to help ground me in the present. There’s nothing worse than spending time with my family and then being dragged back into the work world by a million notifications. For me, during the evenings and weekends, I leave my phone in my bathroom or a low-traffic area. Out of sight, out of mind!
Intentionally using (or losing) your phone looks different for everyone.
[If losing your phone isn’t for you, here are other things you can do]
Airplane mode
Personalize your do not disturb settings
Turn off notifications for apps you find yourself opening during work time
Move apps off of your home screen
Set a time for scrolling so you can actually enjoy it and not feel guilty
This is a reminder that you DON'T have to be on your phone or social accounts 24/7 to have success as a business owner.
If you're craving more time offline, doing the things you love but don't want to let your online business suffer, you're in the right place. I love helping business owners set up a simple social media strategy and system so they get their time back, grow their business and live the life they desire.
If you're ready to work with someone that understands your values, can help keep you accountable to your intentional lifestyle AND help your business grow, it’s time for your free discovery call so we can find what works for you.
